Our Classroom - Five for Friday

We started our week with one of my favourite books: The Very Hungry Caterpillar. After reading it, we had a fun sequencing activity using this printable from School Time Snippets and a caterpillar craft.

The weather has been awfully cold here in Finland, but I decided to enjoy my bike before winter comes. I took a bike trip to an island nearby and it was great!

My kids’ fine motor skills are getting better and better every day. These two drawings are of me and my colleague, Nea. Aren’t they cute?

My colleague made this hopscotch using stickers. The kids wanted to make the numbers themselves, so when they’ll finish all of them we’re going to laminate them. It’s so much fun!

Our tree is blooming day by day. We add a flower every time a child says or does something nice/funny.

I’m tired now so I should go to bed. It’s waiting for me, it’s cosy and soft. Have a nice weekend!

    1. The kids enjoyed it. I have EFL learners, so it was a great way to review food vocabulary too. :)

  2. LOVE your kindness tree and the hopscotch - I bet the kids love that. It must be getting cold in Finland!

    1. Thanks, Susan! My colleague painted the tree and the kids love sticking flowers in it. :)
Today was a perfect autumn day - sunny and full of colorful leaves, so we spent almost 3 hours playing in the park. But soon it's going to get dark and cold. :(
