Five for Friday Linky Party - See What I've Been Up to This Week!

The beginning of the week was great – I finally had some free time to meet my friends and talk about their amazing trip to Mexico. We had some lemonade on a terrace by the sea in the city centre. It’s great to live in Helsinki, to be able to enjoy such wonderful places just a stone’s throw away.

I love my job, and mostly because I have great colleagues who are passionate about what they do, too. I’m lucky enough to be surrounded by people with initiative, ideas, and lots of patience. This week I took some photos of the things they created.

M. made these masks during the summer. I hope she’ll be nice enough to share them. (;))

N. has just finished creating this behaviour tree for our group – when the children do something nice, they write it in a flower and stick it in the tree. I erased the names for privacy reasons.

I created this noise meter with cute animals a year ago, but now I took it out because I felt it was time. Before an activity or when the kids need a reminder, we set the clothespin on the image that indicates what sort of voice they should use. It has worked quite well so far.

Friday is science day, so we made the traditional volcano experiment. The kids went WOW every time the volcano erupted. It was great!

Have a nice weekend!

  1. Those masks are FANTASTIC! I especially like the dinosaur masks, and I like the model dinosaurs near the volcano. My boys, as old as they are, would LOVE this also!

    1. I agree! Love those dinosaur masks! She used some sort of cutting machine to make them.

      Have an amazing Sunday! :)

  2. I need to make a similar Voice "meter" for my class.this year. They live with so much noise these days that they have yet to learn about volume control.

    1. I totally understand. I sometimes get quite loud and I need others to remind me to lower my voice. It's not that I get upset or happens even when I'm happy.
