Five for Friday Linky Party

I’m very happy to join my friends from doodlebugsteaching again for the Five for Friday Linky Party. This is a weekly teacher linky party where we post five random things from the past week.

Here’s what I’ve been working on and doing this week:

Monday was a perfect day – sunny, but not too hot. So I packed my laptop and went to the beach to work. It was amazingly refreshing.

On Tuesday I remembered that I had a webinar recording that I kept postponing to watch. It’s called Amazing Science Experiments on a Shoestring Budget with Steve Spangler. Steve was an inspiration – after so many years, he is still passionate and fun!

On Wednesday I met my teacher friend and she told me about her teaching suitcase. I couldn’t wait to get home and make one too. I already have a list of items I’m going to include, but didn’t get the time to write a post about it. I don’t know when I’m going to have time to do everything I had planned for this summer – my summer holiday is just a month and I seriously have a lot to do – create, print, laminate, cut out, prepare…

On Thursday I finished the props and games I’m going to use with the kids for the Family theme. I will have children who don’t know any English in my group. On the other hand, I also have some kids who can already understand questions and reply in English. But I’m definitely excited about the new school year!!

On Friday I had an interesting day – I went to see The Little Prince at the cinema. I should have taken more tissues with me. :) Everyone (and I do mean everyone! – women, men, and children) was crying and sobbing.

Have a nice weekend!
