Raindrop Mobile

I have very different kids in my group – with various interests, abilities, skills, and ages. That’s why I try to do crafts in small groups, so I can focus more on their needs. The others get to play, while I work with 3-4 kids at a time. It’s much more relaxing that way.

We made these cloud mobiles with some of the youngest kids in our group, and some of the kids who need more fine motor practice.

I had cut the clouds and rain drops from plastic sheets. We used glue to stick them onto the paper. Then, the children mixed white and blue to get a light blue colour, then used sponges to cover the entire surface of the paper. When they were dry, we took the shapes off and created the raindrop mobile.

Cute, isn’t it? :)
